The Abyssinian Baptist Gospel Choir, Shakin’ the Rafters

The Abyssinian Baptist Gospel Choir, Shakin’ the Rafters, Released 1960. Hey, it’s Sunday so I just had to listen to this one. Reminds me of the Gospel Sunday Brunches at the old Hard Rock Café. Rousing stuff.

  1. Wow, you are cruising through these! Good luck, I hope you find it as addictive as I have. I am about 500 recordings in (there are some entries that are just a single song, and others that are a whole box set– surprisingly, after 120 Patsy Cline songs, I was not sick of Patsy Cline) and writing about it at my website – http://www.recordingtherecordings.blogspot.com – as well. I try to include album streams when available, but I also can’t find Blu Blu Blu (although I must have at some point, because I have it checked off- part of it is on Grooveshark). I also am trying to link to blogs where people are working through the book (there are quite a few) so I’ll put yours on there. Good luck, happy listening!

  2. Ah, disregard, I found Blu Blu Blu on Spotify: http://open.spotify.com/album/5YBXTgOdmRTFN9OkVPcwUk

…if you want to go back and hear it.
