Gaspar Noe’s trippy Enter The Void is death, sex, birth, after-life and all the shit in between. There are some cinematic scenes here that you’ve never seen the likes of, of that there is no doubt. Is it a ‘good’ film? It’s neon splashed and provocative, daring and outlandish. Who cares if it’s any good! Right from the spastic opening credits, you know this is something different.
It’s a bit long, but those scenes are so soothing, that it hardly seems to matter. You know, this is one of those films that you have to be in the right mood, or the right frame of mind to enjoy. Seen at the right moment, it’ll transport you. Tokyo nights…what a great setting. It’ll have you shaking your head, in awe, in embarrassment, in wonder. See it for yourself.
