Booker Short List 2010

I finished Damon Galgut’s In a Strange Room just before I left for TIFF. I finished Room on the plane back and I’m picking up McCarthy’s C at the library this afternoon. I’ll have completed the short list with the McCarthy (and the entire long list, with the exception of Rose Tremain’s Trespass which I’m gonna pass on). I’ll get up my notes on the Galgut and Emma Donoghue’s Room later today.

Unless McCarthy hits a grand slam, I’m pulling for Room which I loved to death. What an original story and treatment. I was so impressed, that I going to read her Slammerkin after McCarthy.
