It seems that Russell and Jon Foster were on the same anti-depressants during the filming of this movie. The only spark of life comes from Sophie Taub, as Lori. Fosters character (Eric Poole) is a serial killer who is getting out of prison (not exactly clear why) – but he wants to go straight. If only he can overcome his anti-social urges. Crowe is semi-retired, buut is determined to put Poole back in jail.
Lori has her own problems at home. She’s the abused step-daughter of so many of these types of films. As such, she develops an obsession, or perhaps an affinity for Eric. She’s looking for her own way out, which she eventually finds. If there is any reason to see this film (and frankly, there really isn’t) it would be for the energetic performance of Sophie Taub.
