John Shepherd-Barron the Scot who invented the ubiquitous cash dispensing machines know as “ATM”‘s has made his last deposit – or withdrawal for that matter. Mr. Shepherd-Barron has died at the age of 84. So for those of us who have had occasion to make a fast cash withdrawal, forgotten our pins, have our card scarfed up, or been charged $3.50 to get our hands on out own money: This one’s for you, bud!
