Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla gets a little too cute for its own good a lot of the time. But it can be fun in parts. Certainly the acting is universally excellent – probably due to the fact that I’d bet it’s fun to act in a movie such as this. From Tom Wilkinson to Thandie Newton, Mark Strong to Toby Kebbell they’re all very, very good.
Now the movie itself is just the other side of out of control, which hurts it in the long run. A firmer hand may have made this a very good film indeed. As it is, is passable, stylish of course, but mostly forgettable.
