Still in Town

Good news about Harvard Square’s iconic magazine ’stand’. When word first came out that the Out-Of-Town news-stand would shut down, I wrote about it here. Now word has comedown that it will stay open, albeit under new ownership.  Things change, sure. But the place just wouldn’t have seemed the same without it.

The new owner promises to keep the tradition alive. He claims that if you ask for it (a magazine, or newspaper) – he’ll get it and carry it. Not living in the city anymore, I’ve not been to the out of town in a number of years – but it was a wonderful place to browse. Hard to go there and not come away with a  pile of magazines.

Glad  it will remain.
