Avec ma main brulée, j’écris sur la nature du feu

Tee Vee on-line

There was mention of this new, on-line tv site in the papers today, so I checked it out. It’s very nicely put together. User friendly and well layed out. It is a project of Fox and NBC (strange bedfellows), but has a lot of other stuff as well (including a movie section). It’s spotty on the new stuff (although it has quite a bit, with more being added all the time), but has some complete seasons of some older (really older) series.

Even on the stuff it doesn’t have, it’s searchable and it will direct you to (for instance) ABC.COM for the series you are looking for, if that’s where it’s available. The site is also embeddable, which is nice.

I saw they had the first two seasons of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and there was one that I have always remembered. Joseph Cotton is in an auto accident and paralyzed, but everyone thinks he’s dead. Just when they are about to pull the sheet over his head in the morgue, the coroner notices a tear in his eye – and the day is saved. I’ve always remembered that. for some reason. So I did a search for “Joseph Cotton” and there it was. I watched it again and was impressed by how well filmed it was. In black and white, of course, but with some great camera angles and shot sequences. It still holds up well.

Neat site. Check it out: Hulu.com
